REFUGEE FOOD FESTIVAL LILLE

Lille has already hosted two editions of the Refugee Food Festival. In 2017 and 2018 the edition had gathered eight restaurants and six cooks refugees, to change the glances on this status, and discover Parisians flavors from elsewhere.

Lille 2018

From June 26th to 30th 2018, the menus of some of our favorite restaurants in Lille were enriched with dishes imagined and prepared by refugee chefs : collaborations, menus or tasty “carte blanche”…

The Refugee Food Festival highlight the talents of refugee chefs and offers participants the opportunity to enjoy some of the most finest cuisine.

Bassem Ataya was welcomed at Vivat Factory to cook Syrian specialties.

LE CIRQUE • Fadi Mahmoud

JUNE 26th – Dinner

Fadi Mahmoud proposed a Syrian cuisine at Le Cirque.

L’Avant-Goût de la Cuisine Commune welcomed the Refugee Food Festival for a four-handed menu with Chef Simon and Bassem Ataya.

JUNE 28th – Lunch

This year, Bistrot St So welcome Kaleem Allah for Pakistani dishes.

Pita Norma offered a delicious Surinamese menu!
